Performance and characteristics of filter fiber - polypropylene fiber

Polypropylene (polypropylene) is one of the most moisture resistant synthetic fibers. The moisture regain is close to zero under standard conditions. When it is wet, it absorbs only 0.6% of its weight and does not change its properties. Polypropylene has good wear resistance and high resilience. When the load increases, the creep elongation of polypropylene is greater than that of polyester. Polypropylene can withstand 90C temperature. The chemical properties of polypropylene are the best in all chemical fibers. They are both acid and alkali resistant. It is resistant to other acids except for chlorinated sulfonic acid and concentrated nitric acid. Alkali resistance is also strong. Except for strong caustic soda, other alkaloids do not have any effect on it, and polypropylene is also resistant to general organic solvents. It has good electrical insulation properties, but polypropylene fiber is easily affected by light and heat. Polypropylene is an excellent thermoplastic fiber. Polypropylene felt is often used in low-temperature pulse jet filter bags of smelters and pulse jet filter bags in chemical and pharmaceutical plants. Polypropylene filter rolls are used for damp conditions, it is damp resistant under low temperature condition.
